Status update: forums, guest writers and more

Hey everyone

The site has been online for about a month now and I’m considering expanding it! I’ve been playing with the idea to set up forums, so you could simply post there whenever you’d need help. I’d also add a marketplace since I know some people would find these useful.

I know the WordPress forums exist, but I thought it might be a fun addition to the site. What’s your opinion? Post in the comments and if I get sufficient response, I’ll set up the forums.

I’m also looking for a couple of (guest) writers. I love writing about WordPress but unfortunately, my time is limited, so I can’t give you daily updates. I’d be happy if some people could send in some articles. Obviously, I’d compensate them for their time spent on the articles.

Other than that, I’m working on various other smaller things who will hopefully make this place even more interesting.

  2. Been reading through some of your stuff, pretty nice. Might i be as humble to suggest SMF for your forum software? I’m an SMF Theme designer and I would be more than willing to help skinning one for you…for free of course.

    As much as I would love to help with article writing , I don’t have a firm grip on WP as a CMS, I am purely a designer with html/css/php under my belt, but sadly have never found the time to delve into WP.

    Anyway, like I said, I’m willing to help out on the forums and such. Let me know if you’re up for that.

    I’d like to apologize for the lack of updates: things are pretty hectic at the moment and I’ve had smallband for almost a week which made research painfully slow.
